Your support during the renovation of our Roanoke office to accommodate the relocation of our day support program is one that has allowed our organization to completely customize the space to fit the needs of the individuals we serve. “The new OPTIONS Day Support is a well-deserved center that gives our individuals the opportunity to grow, learn, and make relationships in an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, and inviting,” said Amanda DesMarais, Day Support Coordinator. “The updated technology that has been gifted to us will facilitate the growth of independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, searching for jobs, and so much more so that we can continue to open the doors of hope and belonging to those with Developmental Disabilities in our community.”
This office relocation and renovation would not be possible without: Melina Perdue and Tom McDonald for creating a $15,000 matching challenge grant that encouraged broad community support for the project. Their initial gift was the catalyst that generated several other major gifts from The Beirne Carter Foundation, Marietta McNeill Morgan & Samuel Tate Morgan, Jr. Trust, and KOVAR Corporation.
