Parent-Child Attachment Specialist
The Parent-Child Attachment Specialist service provides intense educational and therapeutic interventions to children and families based on attachment parenting techniques. These interventions occur in the home and include both the youth and the parents, and may occur individually or as a group. It is our belief that youth exhibiting severe behavioral or emotional problems can make the most meaningful progress in a family setting using a multidisciplinary approach based on the principles of attachment theory. Focused intervention is usually short term and is designed to last from 3 - 6 months.
Therapeutic Mentor Services
Therapeutic Mentoring is a time limited service that aims to improve
a youth’s daily functioning. Each youth is carefully matched with a Mentor,
who serves as a positive role model. Services are designed to meet the needs of individuals who have moderate emotional or severe behavioral issues, developmental delays, physical disability, or whose living situation is such that they would benefit from such a service.
