Social Worker (Charlottesville)
Seeking an individual for a full-time position working out of our Charlottesville office in our Treatment Foster Care Program. Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in foster care and an M.S.W. or other related master’s degree is preferred. Responsibilities include providing intensive casework services to children and adolescents, including those with behavioral, emotional and/or medical disabilities. Social Worker (Harrisonburg)
Seeking an individual for a full-time position working out of our Harrisonburg office in our Treatment Foster Care Program. Bachelor’s degree required. Youth Counselor (Charlottesville)
Individual needed for a part-time position in our Independent Living Program for teens. Responsibilities include providing oversight, supervision, crisis intervention and monitoring to the youth placed in the program while ensuring that policies are being followed. Position provides support & guidance and training individually and in a group setting to teens. Applicant must possess working knowledge of human behavior and performance, have good organizational skills, have the ability to remain calm in crisis situations and have strong assessment skills. Mentors - Day Supports (Roanoke)
Energetic, ready-to-work, part-time staff needed to work with adults with developmental disabilities in our Day Support Program. Interested individuals must be patient, caring and responsible. Mentors provide supervision, training, recreational & social activities and personal care to adults with developmental disabilities. Applicants must have a minimum of a H.S. diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of training/education and/or experience. Experience supporting people who have mental retardation and college course work is preferred. All applicants must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, have a valid driver's license and good driving record, and must pass criminal background check. Mentors Group Home (Dogwood Place- Waynesboro)
Individuals needed to work overnight shift with adults with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. Full-time and 31 hour positions available. Interested individuals must be patient, caring and responsible. Mentors provide supervision, training, recreational & social activities and personal care to adults with developmental disabilities . H.S. diploma or GED and prior work experience in assisting individuals with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities required. CNA or college course work is preferred.
